Anacostia Library, Washington DC

The architects wanted bright colours – and after obtaining test samples made by Montage and made by competitors, it was clear which was the better product for the project. Proving libraries do not have to be dull – and showcasing vibrant colours, this simple project demonstrates clever use of glass in a library, where the designers needed a dividing wall, but did not want a solid block. The wall consists of two individual layers making the almost 3-D effect. Years after installation, a panel needed to be replaced. Montage was able to perfectly match the existing colours.
